Oh, where to start! My sisters came down from Utah on the 25 to stay at my house. We got to do a little cooking thursday morning, went shooting, and headed to my dads for dinner. Jans mom was there, some good friends, dads kids, Jarica and family, Tasha and family, me and family, Emily, and my Grandma Kathleen, she is 82 and is a litte spacey. ANYWAYS, we have a tradition to say 1 thing we are thankful for before we bless the food which is always good. Dad asked Grandma to say the blessing, so she stood up and said a few things that she was thankful for, and talked about family and how we should all get along because that is the most important thing. Then she closed in the name of Jesus Christ and sat down. It was really sweet, but not much of a blessing on the food. We all looked around at each other like, Do we say amen?, Was that it? I didn't close my eyes! Are we gonna say a real prayer now? It was so FUNNY! I mean you can't get any sweeter or more sincere then Grandma, but it wasn't quite what we had in mind. So we stared to eat, it was delish! It totally reminded me of the movie Christmas Vacation when the grandma gets up to bless the food and says the Pledge of Alligeince instead. lol. Oh so funny. Definitly one of those family moments that no one will ever forget, and will be talked about and remember the rest of our lives! Sorry to those sibs that weren't there b/c its one of those things that instantly becomes a classic!
The rest of the weekend was great too! We shopped, ate, b.s.'ed, laughed , went to Pikes Stockade (killer pic's to come, seriously!), played games, went swimming, and Jarica and David blessed their little girl too. It was so much fun. I can't wait to do it again at christmas! Thanks for coming to play guys! Love you ! I'll post pics soon =D
