Boys just don't get it....

How do you explain to a three year old boy that you can't curl hair with a comb?
7 minutes, and one grouchy girl later i try to explain. Luckily no scissors were involved.

Also, how do you explain to them why we don't tell dad what his christmas presents are?

Lastly how are you supposed to respond to the statement, "Mama, you have chichi's huh?"

No boys were harmed in the making of this post. ;)

thanksgiving!

Oh, where to start! My sisters came down from Utah on the 25 to stay at my house. We got to do a little cooking thursday morning, went shooting, and headed to my dads for dinner. Jans mom was there, some good friends, dads kids, Jarica and family, Tasha and family, me and family, Emily, and my Grandma Kathleen, she is 82 and is a litte spacey. ANYWAYS, we have a tradition to say 1 thing we are thankful for before we bless the food which is always good. Dad asked Grandma to say the blessing, so she stood up and said a few things that she was thankful for, and talked about family and how we should all get along because that is the most important thing. Then she closed in the name of Jesus Christ and sat down. It was really sweet, but not much of a blessing on the food. We all looked around at each other like, Do we say amen?, Was that it? I didn't close my eyes! Are we gonna say a real prayer now? It was so FUNNY! I mean you can't get any sweeter or more sincere then Grandma, but it wasn't quite what we had in mind. So we stared to eat, it was delish! It totally reminded me of the movie Christmas Vacation when the grandma gets up to bless the food and says the Pledge of Alligeince instead. lol. Oh so funny. Definitly one of those family moments that no one will ever forget, and will be talked about and remember the rest of our lives! Sorry to those sibs that weren't there b/c its one of those things that instantly becomes a classic!
The rest of the weekend was great too! We shopped, ate, b.s.'ed, laughed , went to Pikes Stockade (killer pic's to come, seriously!), played games, went swimming, and Jarica and David blessed their little girl too. It was so much fun. I can't wait to do it again at christmas! Thanks for coming to play guys! Love you ! I'll post pics soon =D

2 cute kids!

i got a new camera, wahoo! but i don't do the technology stuff at our house so the software hasn't been added to my old computer yet. which is good b/c i'd rather have it on my new computer! (lucky duck eh? we got coles old, but still newer then ours, one) so until cade can get all that done for me there won't be too many pics. ANYWAYS, my kids are still cute! i wanted to share a couple of stories about them.
Kenzie loves babies, no i'm not pregnant. but lately every one has been her baby. the other day she was hugging carson and was patting him saying, baby! sashon (carson) baby! it was really cute carson thought K was crazy and just laughed and laughed. she also tries to get cade to be her baby :)
we are at cades parents fairly often b/c they live like 5 miles away. but i am am staring to think that my kids are a little too comfortable there. we were there saturday evening talking and playing. my f-i-l was outside talking to the neighbor. carson went outside and very politely asked,"papa, are you going to come in and make me some dinner?" sheesh! where is that kids mother eh?

New Pics!

My little drummers! Both of my kids LOVE! to play the drums, and pound out the beat on anything nearby! Carson calls it jammin!

Kenzie being as much of a cowgirl as she can at 17 months! Killer boots eh? They are all she wants to wear :)
Carson and Cade, being cowboys too! Also as much as they can, whenever they can!

Carson loves the snow! I stood in the doorway and took a pic.

Carson and Kenzie looking at the first snow out my bedroom window. They were both so excieted! Well Carson was, so Kenzie had to be too! They stood there and watched the snow fall for like 5 whole minutes! Cute kids eh?

Never land

is my new dream place to live. Why? you might ask? Beacause I don't want my kids to grow up! They are so stinkin' cute right now. Almost all of Carsons cousins go to school. So do his uncles, dad, da, and aunt, (we are a huge family of educators!). So, naturally, Carson wants to go to school too. I told him he has to wait for at least 5 more years!
Carson asked me today who makes soap. I told him grown-ups make soap. Then he asked me, "Are me gonna make soap when I am growed- up?" Good question.
Kenzie has stared saying k. Sounds more like day. Go to sleep Kenz! Day! I love you! Day! Be nice to Carson, Day! But she still loves me to rock her to sleep :)
I guess it would be nice if they could bathe themselves eh?

Trip to Utah!

Here are some pics finally. My computer is kinda picky about when it decides to work. Its lots of fun! :)
Ema, Mom, and me on our way to Lake Uba(sp?)

All of the grandkids (moms) celebrating her 50th b-day.
My two cuties at the Provo Temple. They had alot of fun visiting w/ cousins, and were pretty good most of the time!

Kenzie, ever the little lady, was eating off the table at Olive Garden. I was so proud! lol

Granny and the girls. They were both so cute (surprise, surprise eh?). They both would get a little jealous of the other one when they were with Granny. Mom loved it. Can you tell? :)

So, now that I have August covered, maybe I can do September in a month or so. j/k!

UPDATE!

So, I am not super good at the blogging business. So heres a little update for those 10's of you (maybe) that follow this ;)In chronological order, Kenzie started walking! She just started to walk one day, she'd tried a little before, but never more then a few steps at a time. My mom was here for it and she says that K was just waiting for Granny(my mom).
Mom and me, and my kids went to visit Tasha and Ema in utah. We had tons of fun with cousins. Its so cute to see them play together, cause they don't get the chance very often. We went to the childrens muesem, boating, shopping, celebrated my moms b-day, and did lots of visiting. We got to see Jarica and her cutie-patootie of a baby, Aleah(sp?)
Cade started school! (sniff, sniff) He started at a new school this year and is pretty excieted about the new position. The kids(& me too), had a hard time adjusting to not being able to go with Cade on the ranch. Carson whines that dad is never-ever gonna be home, and all Kenzie says is dadada, GO! She has really started to talk lately. Its crazy how fast they grow up after they start to walk.
Finally this week I turned 27! Cra-zy! I swear I am not really that old, or at least I don't think I should be. There was a story on the news about a 19 year old girl and I told Cade, thats just crazy that a girl our age would do that! He had to remind me that I am no longer 20.

So, anyway thats about it. Cade will have to help me download some pics from all our adventures! :)

SAND DUNES !!!

Mr. Carson, having a blast with Auntie Em. As always! It was alot of fun to have her here. Carson wanted to ride with Ema everywhere, and sit by her, and wanted her to spend the night in the zebra tent with him every night. He was pretty cute :) Em's a pretty good sport about it too, she took him to the parade one day and they had a pretty good time. Carson about talked her ear off!

Carson burried in the sand. He thought it was pretty cool!
Being burried in the sand. Cute little boy:)

Cars brought us handful after handful of wet sand :)I think he threw a few at us too, such a boy!

Kenzie loved it! There was just the right amount of water for the kids. Believe it or not they are both little water babies! Even Kenzie splashed and played and laid down in the water. We really had a good time. There wasn't many people, and it wasn't too hot. we had alittle shade and had a picnic right by the water. It was great :)

Oh, these sand dunes are about an hour away from my house, and are pretty fun if the wind isn't whipping the sand in your face!

Celebration!

My cousins and I did the 5k in Manassa. It was fun with everybody there!

My super cute cousins, Anna and Cara after the 5k. Anna if you can't get it off of here, let me know and I can email it to you :)

Cara, Anna, me, Ema, and Andy in our 5k t-shirts. Kelsi and Kayla did it with us too, but we couldn't find them after the race. It was my first one! Ema, Andy, and I did a walk/run thing that wasn't too bad =)

Carson and his participant sucker. He was so excieted about the races, he did pretty good, but at the end was too excieted to really run. He sorta jumped and skipped across the finish line. (Foot races in Sanford)

Kenzie and Collin (sp)? in the crawling race. There were 4 babies. Kenz is usually really fast, but she stopped to watch and play with the other babies.

Auntie Em and Kenzie, enjoying the shade. It was so stinking hot!
I'll post more pic's soon. Cade finally figured out how to get some pics on here. Its a little ridiculous. But we had alot of fun, as always, and now it will take a week to recover from all the fun and sun. =)

Summertime!

Aaahhhhhhh, the sweet scent of dandilions! Or the sweet taste if you are like Kenzie and would rather eat them then smell them! My computer hasn't been cooperating lately so there are 3 different posts from today. Mostly its just pictures (those are for you mom!), but I will do better in the future=) Happy blogging!
Kenzie and the kitty!
They were checking each other out pretty good. Then Kenzie started being too rough and I had to take the kitty away. She cried and cried. Like I was sooo mean. Little stinker! This is her birthday too, ! year old! I can;t believe it!

Addy, Kenzie, and Batman (aka Carson, don't worry he wore that to the store too!) They had shared a chocolate push-up pop and were pretty cute and chocolatey!

Casron taking a "super" nap! (notice the cape=)

Carson loves books! Especially if they have tractors or big trucks!

I'm Back! (sorta, I never really went anywhere!)

I finally had to borrow Jan's computer to get some dang pictures on here. I got a little carried away. But my mom will be happy =) Oh, I just realized these will all be backwards! Oh well.

Carson Tuck's 3rd birthday. He was soooo excieted! We had a combined party with another cousin. Carson sang (the loudest of anybody), Happy Birthday to me !!! But then he didn't want cake or ice cream, he just wanted to play with his new tractor.
Kenzie, Jaclyn, Carson, Tiana, Kacee, and Kasia. All waiting for the water out on the prairie.

Cade, Carson, and Papa Huff riding on the prairie, chasin' cows, and bein' cowboys!

Carson coloring easter eggs. It was kinda late so he was pretty tired, but excieted too! All my other pic's of him and Kenzie in their easter clothes are on my other camera.

How Kenzie sleeps with us some nights! She really does pretty good most of the time, but she was getting some teeth a month or so ago, and after being up 3 or 4 times I finally put her in bed with Cade and I. Cade was nice enough to cover me up before he took the pic so I wouldn't be too revealing =) But don't I look lovely!

Fun stuff!

It's alays a bit of a let down when you have to go back to normal everyday life! Ema, Tash and her kids, and Jarica were all here for the weekend and it was so fun. Now that they are gone I'm like now what am I gonna do? Not play with cousins, or have big, loud, out of control dinner at my dad's, or stay up til 2am making fun a tasha's inability to roll her tongue(love you Tash!). Oh well. My kids are taking naps again and that is definitly a good thing. But we did have a blast! Tasha's kids got REAL cowboy boots so we decided to follow suit and wear some too. So we had to go and watch Cade and his brothers and dad sort the cows on their horses, real cowboy stuff!
It was fun, Drake got to ride a horse my b-i-l helped him down and drake told him very excietedly that when he got big he was going to be a REAL COWBOY! If you have heard Drake talk you know how animated and loud he can be. It was way cute to see them both so excieted. Tasha you'll just have to bring them back more often so that they can continue their cowboy pursuit! Pictures to come, my camera is at my dads. I'm sure Tasha has all of her's up too!
A little lonely in CO =)

SO Big !!

Kenzie started crawling last night! She has been army crawling for about a month, and has been crawling backwards for a few weeks now. She just started crawling like it was no big deal. Carson was pretty excieted, he has been showing her how to crawl for a few weeks . He wanted her to follow him around like a little puppy, which she kind of does anyway! Ah, cute kids=)
The weather has been so nice for the past few weeks! We have been outside everyday, and I love it! Kenzie really likes it, she watches the cows and horses. It is a good break for all of us to get outside to play and enjoy the sunshine. The snow is all gone, and the mud is drying, that means I can wear my flipflops!

Why? Why? Why? Why?

Lucky for me Carson has discovered the all important question of why. For everything I say he has to ask why. I feel like an encyclopedia 24/7. Its a little draining to say the least. I am sure most parents have experienced this to some extent. These are some of his recent inquiries.....
-Why I can't put 2 legs in this one hole?(pants)
-Why Kenzie can't eat Cheetos?
-Why I don't plug in the vacuum?
-Why this is not 5? (holding up 3 fingers)
-Why I can't eat all of the cookies?
-Why don't we shoot Jesus?(the picture on the wall)
-Why we don't eat crayons?
-Why we are not going to Granny Pat's?
-Why its too late for pop?
-Why the wind is blowing so bad?

That was yesterday, who knows what today will bring. Its a good thing that moms know everything eh? I have to admit that even though some of my answers are a little bogus... I do have an answer for almost all of the why's he can throw at me. Thats putting a college degree to good use don't ya think? (haha)

More stories !

I really believe (as all moms do), that I have the best, cutest, smartest kids ever.
On the weekends Carson gets to go with Cade on the ranch to do all kinds of cowboy stuff. They were feeding the cows in the dew-eze (its a pick up with a round bale feeder thing on the back, aka Carsons favorite vehicle) and Carson could see the moon. It was daytime. So he is telling Cade to look at the moon and says," I guess the stars just forgot it!" Dang smart kid!
Kenzie is getting soo big! She dances alot and likes to move. She still isn't crawling, but she gets around pretty good. Much to her dismay she can't keep up with Carson tho. She really is big, I had to take her to the Dr for an ear infection last week and she was 22lbs4oz. She also has 7, yes 7, teeth and is currently getting 2 of her bottom molars. She is staring to want to stand up and when she does she is really big!
So that is the latest with my kids! I don't do much else so I don't have anything else to say! TTFN =)

Kiss me on the Darth Vadar

These are just some random stories about my adorable kids.
I have the cutest kids ever! The other day Carson Tuck was wearing his Darth Vadar mask (he calls it Dark Vadar), we were leaving Cade's parents house and he told Da (grandma) to kiss him on the Darth Vadar. He is so cute! He loves Kenzie so much, it is super cute to see them play together. Last night CT was putting a sock on Kenzie's head and when it would fall off they both would laugh and laugh like it was the funniest thing that had ever happened to either of them. Pretty much the cutest kids ever, if you ask me. Carson was looking at me very seriously the other day and he told me," Mom, you have a pretty great big ole' head." Thanks Cars.
When Makenzie was born we talked about different names for her with Carson. When we said that we liked Makenzie, Carson told us "ya, My-Kenzie." That's pretty much why we named her Makenzie. He still calls her that every once in awhile. When I say my-Kenzie he will say no, my-Kenzie. Maybe we could share her! Sweet boy.

Technology?

I am now an official blogger ! Yay! Crazy how these things work eh? Tasha expect lots of tech-support calls until I get this all figured out. Hopefully Cade will get our computer up and running WITH a wireless connection. Until then this will have to do, and Cade will have to download pic's at school. But finally here we are !
