Boys just don't get it....

How do you explain to a three year old boy that you can't curl hair with a comb?
7 minutes, and one grouchy girl later i try to explain. Luckily no scissors were involved.

Also, how do you explain to them why we don't tell dad what his christmas presents are?

Lastly how are you supposed to respond to the statement, "Mama, you have chichi's huh?"

No boys were harmed in the making of this post. ;)

thanksgiving!

Oh, where to start! My sisters came down from Utah on the 25 to stay at my house. We got to do a little cooking thursday morning, went shooting, and headed to my dads for dinner. Jans mom was there, some good friends, dads kids, Jarica and family, Tasha and family, me and family, Emily, and my Grandma Kathleen, she is 82 and is a litte spacey. ANYWAYS, we have a tradition to say 1 thing we are thankful for before we bless the food which is always good. Dad asked Grandma to say the blessing, so she stood up and said a few things that she was thankful for, and talked about family and how we should all get along because that is the most important thing. Then she closed in the name of Jesus Christ and sat down. It was really sweet, but not much of a blessing on the food. We all looked around at each other like, Do we say amen?, Was that it? I didn't close my eyes! Are we gonna say a real prayer now? It was so FUNNY! I mean you can't get any sweeter or more sincere then Grandma, but it wasn't quite what we had in mind. So we stared to eat, it was delish! It totally reminded me of the movie Christmas Vacation when the grandma gets up to bless the food and says the Pledge of Alligeince instead. lol. Oh so funny. Definitly one of those family moments that no one will ever forget, and will be talked about and remember the rest of our lives! Sorry to those sibs that weren't there b/c its one of those things that instantly becomes a classic!
The rest of the weekend was great too! We shopped, ate, b.s.'ed, laughed , went to Pikes Stockade (killer pic's to come, seriously!), played games, went swimming, and Jarica and David blessed their little girl too. It was so much fun. I can't wait to do it again at christmas! Thanks for coming to play guys! Love you ! I'll post pics soon =D

2 cute kids!

i got a new camera, wahoo! but i don't do the technology stuff at our house so the software hasn't been added to my old computer yet. which is good b/c i'd rather have it on my new computer! (lucky duck eh? we got coles old, but still newer then ours, one) so until cade can get all that done for me there won't be too many pics. ANYWAYS, my kids are still cute! i wanted to share a couple of stories about them.
Kenzie loves babies, no i'm not pregnant. but lately every one has been her baby. the other day she was hugging carson and was patting him saying, baby! sashon (carson) baby! it was really cute carson thought K was crazy and just laughed and laughed. she also tries to get cade to be her baby :)
we are at cades parents fairly often b/c they live like 5 miles away. but i am am staring to think that my kids are a little too comfortable there. we were there saturday evening talking and playing. my f-i-l was outside talking to the neighbor. carson went outside and very politely asked,"papa, are you going to come in and make me some dinner?" sheesh! where is that kids mother eh?

New Pics!

My little drummers! Both of my kids LOVE! to play the drums, and pound out the beat on anything nearby! Carson calls it jammin!

Kenzie being as much of a cowgirl as she can at 17 months! Killer boots eh? They are all she wants to wear :)
Carson and Cade, being cowboys too! Also as much as they can, whenever they can!

Carson loves the snow! I stood in the doorway and took a pic.

Carson and Kenzie looking at the first snow out my bedroom window. They were both so excieted! Well Carson was, so Kenzie had to be too! They stood there and watched the snow fall for like 5 whole minutes! Cute kids eh?

Never land

is my new dream place to live. Why? you might ask? Beacause I don't want my kids to grow up! They are so stinkin' cute right now. Almost all of Carsons cousins go to school. So do his uncles, dad, da, and aunt, (we are a huge family of educators!). So, naturally, Carson wants to go to school too. I told him he has to wait for at least 5 more years!
Carson asked me today who makes soap. I told him grown-ups make soap. Then he asked me, "Are me gonna make soap when I am growed- up?" Good question.
Kenzie has stared saying k. Sounds more like day. Go to sleep Kenz! Day! I love you! Day! Be nice to Carson, Day! But she still loves me to rock her to sleep :)
I guess it would be nice if they could bathe themselves eh?
